My name is Ricardo Capdepont. I am 55 years old, and currently reside with my family in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have always been passionate about traveling, and the beauty and richness of the natural world. I studied commercial photography at Brooks Institute, in Santa Barbara, California.

In 1997 I met my wife and partner through an American Express commercial shot in Patagonia with the father of snowboarding, the late Jake Burton Carpenter (see link at the bottom of this page).

After working as a photo assistant for a few years, I founded my own production company in Los Angeles, California. I got to work with some of the top photographers in the world, shooting ad campaigns all around the US. It was very exciting work, closing down freeways and tunnels, working with the private sector, as well as government offices, at the municipal, state and federal levels.

In late 2015, we moved back to Argentina to be close to our parents. Between November 2015 and December 2023, I worked as the International Trade and Finance Manager for one of the top home decoration companies in the country. Responsibilities included overseeing the company’s cash flow, all financials and logistics with two hundred vendors worldwide, and making strategic financial decisions on a daily basis.

In 2024 I left that company in order to manage our family’s real estate assets, and antiques store (founded in 1963 by our grandfather).
